The Big Scoop was established as a neighborhood ice cream shop in 1993. Featuring a mere 8 flavors when it first opened, The Big Scoop now presents it's customers with 24-28 flavors of Gifford's finest premium ice cream as well as yogurts, sorbets, and soft serve.

Proprietor Sue Small has also, over the years, specialized in signature ice cream desserts, pies, and cakes for all occasions.
This year's addition of Canon's customized cake painting system now gives The Big Scoop the ability to customize individual cakes with and endless array of designs and even photographs. For special dessert orders call 752-1431 or 752-5250.

New for the 2005 season, The Big Scoop will be introducing The Kids' N Scoops membership program which will offer special savings and monthly prize drawings to it's members.
